    More than content

Different skills build one useful route.

You do not need an audience to contribute. Fieldwork, local knowledge and careful verification are as important as publishing beta.

    Scan real rock

Capture boulders and routes so climbers can explore accurate, navigable 3D models.

    Create 4D beta

Record movement through space and time, giving climbers more than a single camera angle.

    Map route knowledge

Add lines, grades, styles, history and access information that make a place understandable.

    Verify and improve

Review existing information, correct mistakes and help keep climbing knowledge current.

    How it works

From the crag to your contributor balance.

The programme begins with a simple rule: useful, original work is reviewed before it can become eligible for earnings.

    1. 01

      Become a contributor

Create your Betabace profile and join the Contributors programme when it is available in your region.

    2. 02

      Contribute useful work

Upload original captures, beta or route knowledge. Every submission keeps a traceable contribution record.

    3. 03

      Pass quality review

Qualifying work is checked for originality, technical quality, accuracy and local access concerns.

    4. 04

      Receive payouts

Set up Stripe payouts and receive eligible earnings under the programme rules shown to you.

Credit is permanent. Earnings are earned.

Every accepted contribution should preserve who did the work. Payment is separate: it depends on programme eligibility, verification and the reward rule that applies to that contribution.

    Payouts through Stripe

Contributors with eligible earnings connect a Stripe account, complete the required identity and payment checks, and receive payouts when the applicable threshold and programme conditions are met.

    Important

Joining does not guarantee income, and uploading first does not create ownership of a physical climbing route.

A fair foundation from the beginning.

    • Permanent credit for accepted work
    • Quality and usefulness over upload volume
    • No ownership claim over physical routes
    • Clear eligibility before money is allocated
    • Visible earnings and payout status
    • Protection against copied or manipulated submissions

    Questions

    The important parts, plainly.

    Does every contribution earn money?

No. Every accepted contribution can receive credit, but earnings require separate programme eligibility. Quality, originality, usefulness, verification and the active reward rules can all matter.

Do I own a route if I scan it first?

No. You can retain rights in your original scan or media and receive lasting credit for your work, but the physical climb and its shared factual record do not belong to the first uploader.

    What is Stripe used for?

Stripe Connect handles payout onboarding and transfers. Stripe may ask for identity, bank and tax information depending on your country. Betabace does not receive your full bank or card details.

    How are earnings calculated?

The initial programme may use direct rewards and bounties before introducing broader revenue sharing. The applicable rule should be visible before a contribution becomes eligible; raw views alone should not determine value.

Can a better scan replace mine?

A materially better model can become the default experience. Your accepted scan remains in the route's provenance history and keeps the credit appropriate to your contribution.
