    Disputes and corrections

Challenge inaccurate information, missing credit or an unfair contribution decision.

These docs explain the product in plain language. Binding contributor, privacy, payment and other legal terms control if there is a conflict.

    What can be disputed

    • Historical attribution or missing contributor credit.
    • A route merge, duplicate decision or incorrect location.
    • Use of copied or unauthorised content.
    • A quality decision or accreditation restriction.
    • A reward allocation, reversal or eligibility decision.

    How decisions should be made

The reviewer should examine the contribution record, source evidence, relevant local knowledge and any conflict of interest. Contested facts can remain marked as disputed while review is underway.

Where the evidence does not support certainty, the decision should preserve uncertainty rather than reward whoever speaks most confidently.

    Possible outcomes

    • Correct or restore attribution.
    • Merge, separate, replace, hide or restore a contribution.
    • Ask for more evidence while leaving the claim unresolved.
    • Limit publishing privileges or remove reward eligibility in cases of manipulation.
